BACKGROUND OF THE ORGANIZATION
Tambayan Center for Children's Rights, Inc., is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization duly organized and existing under Philippine laws, and registered at Securities and Exchange Commission and licensed to operate by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XI. Established in 1996 to respond to the needs of adolescent street girls, aging 9 to 17 years’ old and working in partnership with the Adolescent Girls in the Streets in Barangay 21-C, 22-C, 23-C, and 76-A in Davao City and Barangay Zone II and Zone III in Digos City.
OBJECTIVES & MISSION
Tambayan as a resource center, commits to strengthen the inherent capacities and create a favourable environment in fulfilment of the rights of Adolescent Girls in the Street, and Children in Need of Special Protection
